Lady on the Lake is a two front house. The Lake Front to the rear opens up on three levels to the view. The Street Front is downhill from the road, so the visual interest is via richly modeled rooflines and playful treatment of the windows on the street facing gable.
Generations - The first floor bedroom would readily accommodate an aging parent. The upstairs master suite suitably rewards those nice people paying the mortgage. The third bedroom has a charming extra niche over the kitchen. Having these upstairs bedrooms be generous can be an important part of managing a multigeneration family. Everybody has a place to go play quietly by themselves.
On a sloping lot, as shown here, Lady has room for vacation guests on the lower level, and for a nice big playroom. With the laundry, bath and shower on that level, all that tracked in sand and wet bathing suits stay at the lake level.
Home/Work & Home/Business - We can easily adapt that main floor bedroom or even the entire lower level, including with it's own entrance and/or own bath.
